Recipe: Garlic Basil Baked Salmon

Garlic Basil Baked Salmon

makes 2 servings

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 2 – 6 ounce Salmon fillets

In a medium glass bowl prepare marinade by combining first (7) ingredients: garlic, olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and parsley.

Stir well to create marinade.

Place salmon fillets in a glass baking dish, cover with marinade, and refridgerate for 1 hour (we skipped this step because we didn’t plan ahead).

Preheat over to 375 degrees F.

Place salmon in alumimum foil, pour the marinade on top of them, and seal the foil. Place sealed salmon into a glass baking dish.

Bake 35 to 45 minutes until salmon easily flakes with a fork.

Serve and enjoy!

  1. Looks delicious! I love baking fish – it’s so easy and all you need to do for clean up is to toss away the foil.

Salmon is my favorite fish. I love it. yummy the pictures are too inviting.

  3. Modest Money says:

Man you make some tasty looking food and it’s actually healthy stuff. Do you do all this cooking yourself? Or does the wife help out? And do you find recipes for these dishes or is it all freestyle?

    • Andy says:

Thanks, Jeremy! My wife and I cook a pretty equal amount. It’s tough taking the pictures and whipping these things together sometimes, so we try to both do it together. We enjoy cooking and it allows us to spend some time together. This recipe I did all by myself though! 🙂

We typically find recipes…we’re not very creative and I wouldn’t trust myself to freestyle. We have a ton of cookbooks, magazines, and my wife visits a lot of different food blogs. We modify a lot of the recipes but never really go from scratch. With that said, we have a stuffed Portabella mushroom coming in a few weeks that we thought of ourselves!

About the health: we’ve been trying to eat healthier as of the last couple of months. We try new recipes all of the times and the best make it to the site!
